Print article Welcome
Greetings and welcome to LavaLit, the official home for OpenBOR development and its community!

Please enjoy your stay, and for new members, we recommend you check out the following links to help get you started.

  • Forum Policy - Lavalit is not a "free for all" flame fest and ignorance of the rules is no defense, so make sure to check these out. They are mostly common sense.

  • Help and Resources - Stuck? Find your answer here.

  • OpenBOR WiKi - A wiki based manual in progress. Also includes a mirror of the orginal OpenBOR Manual. If you are new to OpenBOR, this is where to start.

  • Script Reference - OpenBOR includes a C syntax script engine. This is the command and method reference you will need to get started scripting.

Author: Demitri

Description: An unknown disease scourge a little town on the mountains...

Platform:  SecurePAK Edition

Notes:  Please note this is just a BETA demo, the final product may be slightly different.  This mod works fine on OpenBOR v3.0 Build 2397 or less. Any build above that show bugs.

As many of you can see in the upper right hand corner, LavaLit now creates SecurePak releases automatically every night for all consoles at midnight when the svn repository has been updated.

As some of you know already know I have moved the repository to our server.  OpenBOR's SourceForge project has been removed due to reasons I will not disclose here. However, this really just brings together the community and software into one home where ease of use and accessibility is our #1 priority.

Everyone will find a new link on the command toolbar called SVN.  SVN Browser will then load and accessing the repository is simple and straight forward.  Follow the Development FAQ if you wish to download a copy of the repository located here: Link

Also everyone should read the OpenBOR's Licensing here: Link

Guys,

I'm not going to name names (yet), but I've noticed many of you are beginning to lapse into text speak. That needs to stop immediately.

Use of real English, capitalization, punctuation, and decent spelling are not optional in this forum. "U", "2", and other pointless abbreviations like them are not words. They aren't cute, they didn't save you time, and most importantly, they don't translate. I can't stress this enough. Lavalit is very multinational, and English is the vector. For everyone to understand each other, we need to use the language properly.

Please keep this in mind. I've made it a point to step back a bit on moderating lately, but I will start calling out individuals if necessary.

Site has been upgraded to Latest SMF (1.1.10) along with TinyPortal (1.0 Beta 4) for security reasons as well as just staying up to date with what is available.  Obviously a lot of new features have been implemented and are just too many to list but this one comes to mind.  You can now search within Downloads.

If you find any strange issues please let us know.

The Shout Box is disabled until further notice.

It was added by SX as a place to post quick news blurbs, not to act as a discussion portal. OX, SX, and myself I have asked repeatedly for members to keep lengthy posts, help topics, and conversations in the main forum where they belong. Each time we have been ignored.

I may consider reinstating the box in the future, but for now the topic is not up for discussion or review.

I will tidy up what ever projects are left such as Dreamcast, xbox, gp2x and not introduce any new features.  This way people should be able to play on all consoles as my parting gift to all of you.

As for the website and sourceforge, I'm handing it over to Damon.  We will move it to his hosting company and it should for the most part be transparent for all of you.

It has been a pleasure working with all of you but life has me real busy, though you will probably still see me lurking around here and there.
