Alright, I'm pretty sure I have your mod on my file server. Lemme try it out and I'll let you know what happens.

I just tested my Sailor V mod on the Wii this morning with the same file I uploaded and it works fine, so I'm not too sure what else it can be.

...in the mean time, why don't you try any of the other ports? The Wii Port is just a PoC release after all...

For those of you who are having problems with the game gameplay, PLEASE watch the How To Play Animation. This is almost an entirely new game and there's alot of new moves to use.

Also, you can download the full directions here.

Yeah, you can say that now, but play through the entire game first before you make your final judgement about it. Those characters are there because they symbolize a gang, thugs, what-have-you.

If you don't like it, I don't care. I made the game for myself and for the fans that accept it.

I know for a fact now that lavalit doesn't accept Sailor Moon in any way, shape or form, but just doesn't show it in general, but I know I put alot more time into these games then most of you do.

Whoa Kunpow, what's with all the strife?

Who said Lavalit doesn't "doesn't accept Sailor Moon in any way, shape or form"? Besides, if it was the previous post that upset you, I think you need to take a look around. That guy is just a spammer and I'm considering removing him. He's a non native speaker, most likely a kid, and obviously doesn't really know what he's saying half the time. I don't think he means any intentional harm though. He's probably just spouting some random babble that he thought sounded cool and complementary to you.

As for yourself, you must understand that it isn't Salior Moon that's the problem. It's just that as more and more users like myself have come on board, the overall community's tastes have changed. Many of the most active members here prefer a more technically advanced gameplay oriented module, something your Sailor Moon series is not. But there is no reason for you to take offense to that. It's just a matter of taste. It doesn't mean we actively dislike, don't accept, or whatever just because people aren't flocking in droves to play or praise it. It's not like there aren't fans out there anyway. I mean jeez, you've had people coming on here and calling your Sailor Moon releases the greatest thing since sliced bread on numerous occasions. What else do you want?

So come on, lighten up a little.

 :cheers!:

I did play this all the way through to the end, kungpow12345 and as usual the story was highly developed (more so then a lot of mods) & the visuals were above average. Comparing it to your previous mods, the gameplay was more sophisticated (particularly the enemies). Some of the voice acting was actually surprisingly good for a fan game (in my opinion).

If I had to put my finger on one thing I'd say it was just overlooked as another Sailer Moon game- I didn't comment because I comment on a lot of things as it is, LOL- so don't think it's a reflection on your game if people don't comment. Sometimes people have nothing to say.

I'm sorry guys (ALL of you). The lack of comments about this mod was worrying me, especially when I tried to tailor it more towards the lavalit crowd and not the norm-Sailor Moon fan per-say.

You guys said SMR was a cake walk, I answered that with even harder enemies. Especially with Kunzite and Zoicite, that's a taste of things to come from SMS.

...but the question still remains, how does it stack up to the other mods? I mean...yeah might not be totally original per-say and nothing really "outstanding" but for difficulty and the other stuff.

I just like to hear this feedback so I know how to improve on the concept. That's all.

I have split the last few messages from this thread and moved them to our staff forum, which means that none of them were deleted.

Regarding the feedback issue that was discussed: Remember that we're only four guys including SX, and all of us are busy coding or working on our own mods.

Like Fightn Words wrote, it's not a reflection of your game's quality that people don't post feedback. I didn't have the chance to try (or even download) this mod as I've had some things in real life that needed my full attention. I couldn't even newspost this at DCEmulation.org yet.

I am glad that Sailor V will allow us to complete the Sailor Moon Dreamcast compilation for DCEvolution we talked about so many years ago. :)

- If you have some artwork I could use for the covers, let me know ;)

This is on my list of mods to try, but I've just been really busy lately.  As soon as the holiday madness at work ends, I'm back in school with 4 classes all throwing projects at me right off the bat.   :'(

I didn't comment on this mod before because from what I saw, everyone else was commenting about the Wii port rather than the mod itself.  In other words:  'cause I'm a chicken.

Anyways, my main beef with the mod is that it's too easy for some enemies to interrupt Sailor V's regular combo(Katarina has longer reach, so I don't count that).  Also, I take issue with the fact that there's a chance the guy you get in a grapple with is going to hit you either when you hit then try to throw him or when you finish the grab combo against some enemies(especially the bald suit guys and that Pissed Biker; I guess he's pissed).

The other thing is that not only is there no real knocked down time for the player characters, but they can get hit as they're getting up.  Like, you could get shot and fall down and at the moment you touch the ground you're getting hit by another projectile without time to react.

Then again, that's just me.  Don't get me wrong; I don't want the game to be easier(I mean, I could beat the game if I wanted to ;) ).  Maybe the gameplay isn't comfy or smooth or fluid as I would have liked.  Maybe some of these things I call issues actually have to do with the difficulty of gameplay.  Maybe I'm spoiled by Mr. Q's Double Dragon remakes(being the only other mods I've played extensively).  Nothing to do with disliking Sailor Moon(though I'm sure if I watched the show, I'm sure I would...

... love it! ).

As far as the game overall, its a fun, interesting time.  It's got fancy settings, a fun story, and voice work!  I'd probably play it more if OpenBOR Wii could run Over-The-Top mode past the first boss' cutscene.  Speaking of Over-The-Top mode, the color changing in the first room is missing in that difficulty.  I've only tried the game once on Easy and got up to that cake lady.

Oh, and this being my first post here and all... hi. :cheers!:

The main reason why I included the Wii Build with Sailor V is because I wanted to show the others that "Hey, I am working on it and I'm not just blowing smoke."

What I showed at Otakon was the real deal and this is the end result, even if OpenBoR Wii is a bit buggy, it's a PoC release right? lol

Hey yo Kungpow!! :cheers!: :cheers!: a happy belated(and i mean belated beyond recognition) congrats on the release of the Sailor V mod!  ;D I been meaning to give a big ups to ya  ;) but lets just say the affairs of state take precedence over the affairs of state.... :dunce:

I hope all you peeps enjoy the types of combat scenarios that are contained in Sailor V.  The variety of enemy includes punks from all walks of side scroller beat em ups which makes the beatdown all the more fulfilling IMHO.  Maybe you can explain it to me but I'm trying to figure out why I get satisfaction when it comes to being able to beat down your opponents in kneehigh boots! :eyebrow_action:

If you happen to be looking for a mod that will take you on an adventure then download Sailor V and to get the full experience play it on you Wii!!

I appreciate that buddy but I want people to know that what LBF did on Sailor V too was key for what's going to happen in the next game, Sailor Moon S. I've been saying it for nearly 3 years now. What you remember about the Sailor Moon beat 'em ups...won't be here come Sailor Moon S. It's going to be completely revamped, reworked, retweaked, and made into something that even DC will stop and take notice at.

I said it before and I'll say it again, don't underestimate these girls. They maybe girls but they come across stuff far more difficult than any beat 'em up character faced before it. I'll prove it with SMS. Everything is on the line.

Play Sailor V and get a feel for what's to come (especially the final boss). Trust me, this ISN'T Sailor Moon R again...this is something new.

That's great! But what I meant was an artwork I could use for a Dreamcast compilation of all your Sailor Moon games. And I need a quality one in high resolution. - Maybe you can find something at DeviantArt that would do a good job representing your games ?
