Enforcement:

• Reminder: From time to time, moderators will pass out friendly warnings. Don't take it personally, we would rather remind members of the rules than enforce them.
  
  
• 1st offense: In most cases, an Offcial Warning will be issued for the first offense.
  
  
• 2nd offense: A second offense within 30 days of being warned will result in a Mute.
  
  
• 3rd offense: Any offense within 30 days upon return from a Mute will result in Banning from the Lavalit community and denial of all related resources.
  
  
• Circumvention: Circumventing Mutes with any method (including but not limited to alternate accounts, address rotation, proxies, multiple terminals, the Shout Box, etc.) will result in a Ban. Further attempts will be treated as hacking and action will be taken against you accordingly.
  
  
• Judgement: At the moderator's option, enforcement may vary to suit the situation. For example, a moderator might lock a thread and issue Mutes as a forced cool down period between arguing members or choose to immediately Ban an individual for severe offenses.

Arbitration:

• Listing: In the interest of fairness (i.e. so no one seems to disappear), and an open community, all actions taken against a member will appear on a public moderation list along with a short explanation of the offense.
  
  
• Arbitration: Mute members are still allowed read access and may contact the moderator who evoked the Mute via email (use subject: ?Lavalit Ban?) for further explanation. Be civil; this is not a good time to repeat whatever offense got you Muted in the first place. Flaming or spamming a moderator while Muted will be considered a 3rd offense. It is the moderator's option to respond.
  
  
• Final Judgment: The moderator's judgment is final and may only be revoked by the site owner or a majority vote among moderators.
