The concept of a Blog based work log has worked wonders. Without it I tended to get all over the place and wind up doing the same work many times over. OX can probably understand.

Anyway, progress has really gone into high gear lately (save for not being able to use Plombo's #Defines yet, but at least the latest version loads). I won't jinx myself by throwing out yet another timetable, but I can actually see a light at the end of the tunnel now.

If you have any  suggestions or requests (sensible... and not something I've already confirmed 20 times before please) for this project, please leave them on the work log.

Happy New year!

Urgh.

That's sooo six months ago.

My next mod is monochrome.   :cheers!:

Seriously , though. Awesome work. I know how much effort goes into colour separation and I also know that you did a lot more besides that.

Now all he needs is a "Shin"/zombie palette!

You're right. The 2600 is such fad. Color... pifft. Pong is here to stay!

Thanks. It was a royal pain, and I only separated the existing sectors on a crappy Data East set with <300 files. I can't even image what it was like to add sectors to a well animated KOF set like your Kyo.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!  :lip_biting:

Hey, you have his base palette file, saved exactly as I use it. Make an undead/shin/whatever palette, post it up and I'll use it as a bonus. I think I even know just what to do with it.
;)

It's not so bad adding sectors. I actually find it quite therapeutic in an odd way. Instead of doing all the separations a sprite at a time , I concentrate on one area across the whole set. So I'll separate the hair on all of his sprites , then go back and change the headband , and so on.

K' COLOUR SEPARATION was kind of on the absurd side. I think I was close to the 256 colour limit. That also included the flame fx too , as I was cutting down on entities.

The worst part is when they do that weird stretching/faking fast movement stuff. Most sprites are just a blur of one or two solid colours. Not nice at all.

I would have probably added to Ray's lightening bolt too , so that you could have a plain top/shirtless remaps.

My laptop is still fried but I can grab the image off your blog and undeadify him

Damon Caskey is working on a Golden Axe remake, he'll finish this game after (I'm looking forward both projects).
