HERE YOU GO. NONE ARE FINISHED BECAUSE I DONT HAVE TIME TO WORK ON THEM MUCH BUT FEEL FREE TO CRITIC. THESE ARE BASIC IDEAS ON WHAT I WANT FOR CHARACTER DESIGNS. ITS 2011, ITS ABOUT TIME SOR HAD A NEW/MODERN LOOK

About new SoR look i totally agree, as i write earlier, this series must have a new life and new fresh design. But if it is 2011, why your Max still walking topless? ;D poor guy..

But the classic palette doesnt looking good for me, because i cant set white border of the healthbar bigger than 1 pixel. So it will be proportional to the original:

Is Max gonna be in? I would love to see him with the new style of yours. Are there gonna be vault system? I know that in SOR2, Max can't vault. Can you replace his move to something like this (look at attachment). It's just an idea I have, I really wanted to try making SOR mod too but in KOF style but right now I'm still stuck on my Crows mod.. Great job Mtrain, I'll be waiting more progress from you..

There are a lot of ways to get around that. The simplest would probably be to add a direction command; Jump = side switch, UP+Jump = Jump with defender like he always did.

In any case, I think the animation above is OK, but should be reversed. Max should simply lift the Defender up a bit, turn and sit him on the other side (see FF3) instead of the Defender being stationary while Max awkwardly shifts around him. Animation would look better and more importantly it would appear more physically dominating - the way Max should be.

Here is my new HUD design, in which I tried to get closer to the original, but olbarsize does not allow to make a thicker healthbar border, so enemy will have more simple healthbar.



I have question: how to change black healthbar backfill color to red, and is there posible to turn of transparency of it?

My grappler controls for Max, and some other character will be familiar to Bare Knuckle: Yesterday once more MOD variant.

Now the haviest problem for me is enemy AI. Maybe there is already scripts for controling AI like in SoR? Any suggestions?

I've never had to do it, so I tried finding a post that would describe it easily and couldn't.

The way it's supposed to work is color 500 is what effects the color & BG transparency. I've seen a number of mods use it, so I don't think finding an example would be too difficult. If you wanted to do something more specific or fancy outside of Levels.txt, scripting would be the way to go; You can 'draw' graphics or use bitmaps with it.
