Pretty decent mod, man!  The stages are kinda short, but this is offset by the high difficulty.  Great game to play on my PSP!

Nice one, kmilloz. :) I know how you made that title screen with green fonts. I think you know it. I did that before in practicing with colors. Here's my comment but I'll say like the announcer from SFA3:
"You did a great job, Street Fighter!"
"Sharpen your fangs, it's not the end!"

Man, this is like the original Double Dragon game. With KOF sprites, I'm not a fan of KOF, but I love the edits very much and I heard about it though.

You went to either System (adaptive, local, or select) or Uniform in Photoshop. You used the title screen and went to index it to one of them. That's ok. Your mod is good.

Heh, this is a great idea.

I should probably copy your idea, seeing as I have been spending a lot of time at thecoverproject.net (Shameless self promotion: Check out my covers!)

Anyway, great job, it looks cool. Although, you should probably also make a spine, should any want to print these out and put them in a case with a copy of your mod on a CD.  ;)

which ones are youyr covers??

I did a lot of covers for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation... unfortunately, most of them weren't uploaded because of relatively minor errors. I also just recently did alternate covers for PS3/360 versions of SF4 as well as covers for a few PC games.

Here's a few of 'em though.
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8572 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8572)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8574 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8574)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8573 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8573)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8576 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8576)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8569 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8569)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=872 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=872)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6440 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6440)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8088 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8088)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6691 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6691)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6438 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6438)

Unfortunately, very few of this stuff I actually consider to be my best work, and ALL of my PS1 covers were discarded because of minor errors. You can take a look at my photobucket account to see previews for a lot of them. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v223/the7k/ (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v223/the7k/) (Just go past the SC4 characters I made for more of them.)

But yeah, that year I spent not being here was spent making covers for there.

By the way, sorry bout the thread high-jacking.

You made these? Great work man! I remember the Night-Warriors one especially was terrible- although I thought the art for the SFA2 & MSH (drawn by Joe Madureira) were actually decent (not the first one, SFA- that one was crap).

Title: Re: FULL - Double Dragon SNK

ryomaneo: Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Fightn Words: yeah, that Night Warriors one had to go =P The SFA2 and MSH covers were good, but I just wanted them to look different. After all, official versions of their covers were already uploaded there.

If I ever do get a hold of SFA, I'll make a custom cover for that too. SFA is all it will take to complete my SFA collection (I got SFA2 for Saturn and SFA3 for Dreamcast), but that original cover looks so bad.

Btw, I think maybe we should work on doing custom covers for the mods we make. thecoverproject.net seems to have no problems hosting such things, take a look at these made by cover guru Shenske:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=3909 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=3909)
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6221 (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6221)

Edit: Btw, here is the thread with my SF4 covers. If you hurry, you can still get these covers and print them over the official one (I felt the original cover art for SF4 was very uninspired, maybe you'll feel the same way.)

Nice weapons in this mod- too bad their wasn't a whip, but throwing rocks was fun.

Well, it is true... weapons and artworks were the all savable parts of the game...

That's just a little uncalled for. This mod has a lot more effort put into it than most, and that's by a freakin' long-shot too.

If you are going to call a game out, at least provide some actual criticism. I personally found the enemies to be unfairly difficult, but it is a fusion of Double Dragon and SNK, two things notorious for having very difficult games. The only way it could have been a more brutal combination is "Double Dragon Vs, Ninja Gaiden SNK".

Hey, this is his first time...
Don't ever say like that to someone else, cause it is not good to say it for the first creator...

I just noticed this myself, and yes it is uncalled for. I'm known for being hard to please..but I also explain why. I admit this module is not what I consider to be top work. But there is a difference in being honest and being a jerk.

"I do not like this module because of ...." = OK.
"This module sucks!" = NOT OK.

Just a friendly warning, but tone it down a bit.

To those players who actually did not try and create their own games, they will not understand how hard it is to create a single games.

If they just want to give a bad comments, then I say that they should just keep quite in the forum page atleast...

Well, just because someone hasn't made a mod yet, or doesn't even plan to, doesn't mean that their opinions are not valid. I got those sorts of retorts when I criticized the highly acclaimed Hatchet Ninjaz for ... well, everything. The fact of the matter is, you don't have to be film director to know that Uwe Boll makes horrible movies.

It's just, if you are going to lamblast something, at least give the reasons why you think it is about as productive as a urinary tract infection. Who knows, maybe the person you are criticizing will learn from their mistakes, and they can grow as an artist. (Talking about BOR devs, not Uwe Boll. He'll never learn and death slow, painful torture is the only answer for him.)

*WARNING*

Whether people make games or don't they still have opinions. Your right, it's easier to criticize something & if you haven't (for the sake of argument) made anything then you have no point of reference for true understanding. However, in my opinion this doesn't mean that their ideas have no value but like anything you can take or leave what people say. I think the fact that something is difficult to do is no excuse by itself not to accomplish it. Also, as The7k pointed out, other people might see something you didn't think of or realize. This is why diverse opinions can sometimes be important. Nobody knows everything.

Well, i am using this topic resurrection to give you my apologies Kmilloz, my previous comment was a bit off-borders. I didn't know it was your first mod, and that is not even a good excuse, but i could have expressed surely better. Said that, i would also point out that it was a comment for a mod, not against its creator, so no harm to anyone was intended. Anyway Kmilloz, my apologies to you, again.

Wow The7k it seems you have read my mind and then explained what you have seen to others! Impressive!   :wow!:

hoho, I hope Phempt never try my upcoming mod

Why?

Oh man it was just a joke long time ago... I meant that because of your harsh criticism on this mod, I didn't want you to try my mod for not receiving the same kind of critics  Of course I was joking, it really doesn't matter the critics you receive, all are helpful  ;)

well, me and my bad german sense of humor

I thank everyone who downloaded my mod, and also the positive and negative criticism, because I do not think any mod is perfect, horrible games already downloaded and still am not against, just not game! thanks!

Just Windows, Dingoo, and Xbox?  What about Wii, Linux, and (maybe) Dreamcast?  Doesn't it work on those, too?

I don?t know... I don?t have Wii, Linux and Dreamcast... sorry...

Well, the Windows and Linux versions are identical, so any mod that works on Windows will work on Linux.

I don't have a Dreamcast, but Ive been thinking about getting one in the near future. Especially now that I'm making my own mod. How exactly do you play BOR games on it? Just burn the DC version of BOR on a disk with a few Paks on it throw it in? Possibly a boot disk if needed just like normal burnt DC games? Or is there more to it than that.

Because when I finished my mod I'm definitely gonna want to make my self a physical copy that can be played on the DC. And Id definitely make a nice DC case cover and CD label for it so it looks official sitting on my self! ;)

In Mod Double Dragon SNK 1.1, the animation has been corrected when the Abobo throws when the character is with a gun. Because the bug's movement of water, this mod works perfectly with Openbor 2227. ;)
