Title: Error message requests
Post by: Bloodbane on June 24, 2012, 12:34:08 am
While debugging mods, I encountered many errors which don't produce any error message in log file.

So I'm requesting error message to be written in log file for these errors:
1. Spawning unloaded yet entities (which results in spawning nothing or flash)
2. Not enough follows (forgot to set maxfollows)
3. Not enough attacktypes (forgot to set maxattacktypes)
4. Not enough attack animations (forgot to set maxattacks)
5. Not enough freespecials (forgot to set maxfreespecials)

If you have no actuall script calls in any animations of a entity and you have a link to a animationscript file, openBor will just crash to desktop without any log event.

Yes, that's true. I have posted it in chat yesterday hoping admins will notice it and fix it.

I've checked that link time and again - it is working perfectly. Not sure what could be going on for guys. Post a screen shot and give us a step by step (browser, os, where you clicked, etc.)

I've also gotten some reports of not being able to reach engine releases and have never been able to reproduce that problem.  It might only happen to non-admins.
