OpenBOR v3.0 Build 3688 ported by A600

This is an OpenBOR port for the Xbox1, possible thanks to the hard work of the OpenBOR and Senile teams and the SDLx libs by Lantus.

All the old problems have been corrected,  this port doesn't use the Xport code (it's a direct SDL port).
- No audio crackles or popping like before ... Crystal clear sound  ;)
- Possible to play 4 players simultaneously.
- Correct HD problems
- Now the xBox can play all the last mods :D

CONTROLS
--------

Dpad -> Up/Down/Left/Right
A    -> Button1
B -> Button2
X -> Button5
Y -> Button6
Left Trigger -> Button3
Right Trigger -> Button4
Back    -> Escape
Start    -> Start
Right Analog Thumb   -> Screenshot

All controls can be remapped using the "Control Options" menu.

SCREEN
------

If you are using the 720p videomode, to get a correct aspect ratio for those 4:3 paks, select the menu "Video Options" - "Aspect ratio" and set it to 4:3.

The xResizer.xbe included allows to resize the screen for those with overscan problems.
It generates an xbox.cfg with these default settings:

xpos=0
ypos=0
xstretch=0
ystretch=0
flickerfilter=1
720p=1

The flickerfilter option can be a number between 0 and 5.

----

But source code is legal ... i think Lavalit can share and update it like others ...

Hi

A600 explain us SPK files are encrypted paks ... i know it ...
And, obviously, that source code isn't public ... i don't know it :p
So only OpenBOR main devs can compile an Xbox version with it enabled ... is it possible please ?

Some mods are only SPK files :(

A600 make a new version for xBox 360 now :D
Maybe an admin will make a new forum for it ?

KNOWN BUGS
----------

- The BGM player doesn't work so, for now, is disabled.
- Ogg music isn't played (works but doesn't sound right) so also is disabled.
The only workaround is to convert the .ogg files to .bor: Unpack the pak, convert the oggs to wav, then use wav2bor with those wavs, rename the final files to .ogg and repack the pak.
Anyway, only a few paks use ogg music.

Now, the question is, is there many mods who use rumble ???

 Obviously none. That feature is console specific and it requires special function in engine to activate.
 Since mods are mostly made with PC which has no rumble feature, noone bothers with rumble.

Ok thanks, it is what i mean.
But like there is the function, a good coder can add it to some mods if he want :p
Because now we must think that people don't all play on PC ... many are using Wii, Dingo, PSP, Dreamcast, xBox ... and all of the have the RUMBLE option :p
It is not really important, but it can be fun :D

I have test and all mods by default use rumble when it is activated :D

I played a modified version of BOR with rumble once. It was terrible. Every punch, kick or throw activated it, meaning the controller was constantly vibrating, almost without pause.

But then again I hate rumble anyway, so I guess my opinion on this matter is moot.

Dang it seems 3693 code is buggy. The modification I made while trying to figure out the reason why it crashes on unloading models simply doesn't work.

Anyway, grab 3694 whoever is working on this port.

For the RUMBLE we can choose the strong ... for me it is good :p

 - Night Slashers X doesn't crash anymore after finishing the first level (bug fixed by utunnels)
 - Sprites are always unloaded from memory after completing a level.  That means that Night Slashers X, Bare Knuckle 6 and probably other games don't crash due to lack of free memory.
 - Rumble intensity option is now changed with left and right.
 - Updated source code to r3698.

I need to mention, if you force unload 2, it means longer loading time/lag for some mods.
Sometimes when there's enough memory, it is not a bad idea to keep everything necessary in memory.

Man! the new Streets Of Rage mods runs sweet, really thanks, its nice to play all the new mods in the classic Xbox (with 4 joypads hehe)  :cheers!:

Soon i will test de Golden Axe Legend mod, Contra, and many others, the results i will post here.

- Bare Kuckle Vacuum, BK VI and BK Z runs much better, but the 3 mods still crash sometimes with no reason (memory?). This mods crash more when i change a char in the middle of a stage (Build 3698).

- Marvel First Alliance sometimes crash when dr. Banner change to Hulk.

- Golden Axe Myth doesn´t run.

- Mods that runs perfect till the ending: Contra, Golden Axe Legends, Double Dragon The Dragon Age, Double Dragon Genesis, BOR Remix Art Of Fighitng, Fighting Spirit.

- All the old mods that i test runs sweet in this 3.0 engine.

I'm like you ... the BK mods some time crash ... i don't really understand why because there is enought memory ...

I think there are some BOR engine bugs ... like one with the point counter ...
The only solution is to stand buy for a A600 update of the engine with the last one :(
Utunnels correct some bugs and add some good news features :p

Maybe you can also go to EmuXtra and ask also for an update to A600!

The BK Vacuum mod do not crash any time, but only if i dont change a char, and, if i dont load a game.

I will report to A600 soon, i think this Xbox build is next to a perfect version.

I guess this cant handle 32 bit mode, so now i have to remake my remakes :bored: what a long process :dunce:
