Thanks. I didn't do the art myself (As in, I didn't draw Ky, Sol or Millia... I ain't good enough at drawing to do that.) but it did involve a lot of touching up, optimization, etc.

Thanks for the comments, once again. Finally got my cover for Anearth Fantasy Stories uploaded, it's up in the first post.
If you're like me, you were probably disappointed with the covers that shipped with SFIV. So, I made a series of custom covers for everyone to print out and slip over their real ones. I started this project a while back, and just today finished it off with the Rufus and Viper covers. They still haven't been officially uploaded, but they're still on the site waiting to be approved.

Yeah, I'd like to do some covers for classics like Dragons of Rage and pretty much all of Mr.Q's work. The only problem is that I need high-res art for such things, and I mean really high-res art.
Finding any Sengoku III artwork (the series Dragons of Rage comes from) is nearly impossible, but then the fact that it needs to be high-res too? I'd need a miracle.

Well, like I've said before, the problem with OpenBOR covers is that the logos and such are very rarely in high-res, and upscaling them leaves them very pixelated.
There's also the problem of finding artwork. As much as I wanna do a Dragons of Rage cover, I have yet to find high-res Sengoku III artwork.
Furthermore, it looks like new admins at thecoverproject have dictated that homebrews shouldn't be hosted on the site anymore - which means I'd have to find some other venue for hosting OpenBOR covers. I'm thinking deviantart or VGBoxArt might do the trick, although it's been ages since I've used dA and I've never used VGBoxArt, mainly because the communities for both have a pretty high amount of hostile people and art thieves.

Oh Yeah, and here are more of the SF4 covers. Almost done, but it looks like the project may never be finished - Udon hasn't released anymore Street Fighter artwork in a while, and has instead been focusing on Exalted lately. Still need a few characters like Zangief, Gouken, Seth and Dan.

Yeah, he's another character Udon hasn't made an image for yet. It's too bad really. I'd personally like to get Zangief - I mean, he is a killing machine in SF4, his grab has insane priority and insane damage.
If Udon ever makes more images like the ones I've already used, I'd gladly make more covers! It just that the only other characters they have made images like this for, are characters that aren't in the game. (Karin, Juli and Juni.)

Thanks! As for requests, I do them on occasion, but it depends on if finding artwork for said request will be easy (or even possible). I'm actually working on a request right now - a Devil May Cry custom series (1-3). It is really hard to find art for it too. There's some things even I want to do covers for but can not for the life of me find art for. Rainbow Cotton for the Dreamcast is definitely one of those games.

Thanks - as far as being a cover designer... well, I don't get paid for it, if that's what ya mean. =P Would be nice if I could find work as a cover designer, I know I do better work than some companies. (The initial cover designs by Ignition for the America release of King of Fighters XII were just awful... they eventually realized - after significant negative feedback - that their covers were bad and just went back with the Japanese covers, but still...)

If I had to guess I'd say it was marketing fear- initially anyway, that caused game company's to make new crappier covers instead of keeping with the originals. Now it just makes no sense at all (if it ever did). I think Konami had some pretty nice cover art for some of there early non-Asian games.
