Title: Eternal Champions - The thin Strings of Fate (W.I.P.)

I present you my latest project

Eternal Champions: The Thin Strings of Fate

This mod started in October 2008 and have worked since then to this presentation, the mod is almost done maybe 98%
My original idea was to make a trilogy, an individual game for each of the 3 main characters:
Shadow Yamoto campaign
Tyler Larcen campaign
Jonathan Blade campaign
and a fourth game that could use the three characters in a 3 players arcade mode independent of the main story.
but the first one, the "Shadow Yamoto campaign" has taken me almost 4 years to complete, so just present this only mod.
it is a long hard game, but with a lot of possibilities:
-alternative secret ways
-4 Ends in the main campaign
-3 Ends for extra modes
-3 Unlockable modes, with 2 very different ways in each mode
-5 Unlockable characters

In the main campaign you have at least 8 different sub-modes of play in addition to the classic "Beat'em up mode"

-2.5D mode
-2D unarmed mode
-2D shinobi mode
-Drive and shoot mode
-Stealth mode
-Shinobi bike mode
-kunoichi view mode
-Information quest mode
...and more.

according to the player's decisions can be accessed to a rudimentary level up system, gaining improvements in MP and HP and learning new combos and special skills

I can see the BG sprites are from various different game, but the mix is perfect! :)
I'm surprised : Shadow and Yamoto (2 different characters??)

The funny part is that I do have J.Blade and T.Larcen in Sega Brawlers, and Shadow Yamato was the next planned character, but I wanted her Genesis outfit instead of her Sega CD version. After your done, mind if I edit her for brawlers?

You have choose a hard game to convert to OpenBOR :p

Like there is no weapon, i think LEVEL UP is a good idea to had fun to the game.

But for my part, i know it is a lot of work for you, i don't like the 3D cut scene :(
I prefer stay in old 2D animation ...
If you can change that ... it will be the best !

Anyways, forget about graphical stuffs. I can see great game concept here especially the stealth mission. I hope that guard give some really bad reaction if he spot Yamoto so player would take stealth action seriously ;).

I use 3ds max for 3ds and the textures are from valis 1 and 2 from the PC engine version that I have ripped.
I think you will enjoy the stealth mission Bloodbane, I don't want to spoil the game, but in this trailer you see only a 15% of the possibilities that the mod have.

Wow man, this is really good stuff, I mean, your mod actually looks like a real genesis game when it came to that platforming section, and overall, it looks really great. BTW, isn't the panel and rail background at 1:21 from Mutation Nation?

I'm using a custom palette 256 colors to bring a 16 bit feeling in the game
