what are your favorite games OpenBOR?!

Well I will mention in particular 3 favorite games to OpenBOR:

* Double Dragon Gaiden
* Art of Fighting Beats Of Rage Remix III
* Final Fight Alpha

I really like their different stages, characters, sounds, and gameplay. the least I have in mind is the resolution graphics, while the rest mentioned above this, for me is enough .... and you ......

Art of Fighting: Beats of Rage III
- The original AOF feeling into the BOR style
- Simple gameplay
- Graphics fit to KOF style

A Tale of Vengeance
- Beautiful graphics in my opinion
- Heartwarming with story
- Easy to play

Valdivia City Ransom (demo)
- Fun to play with little characters
- Fun gameplay

Sega Brawlers Megamix
- Fun to play plenty characters
- Selections of modes you can choose from
- No boringness of playing it

There are so many mods I've played but I can't remember all of them.

I gotta tell you that there are similar topics being made before anyone else like us. Now I don't know if those topics exist.

Well, I haven't played that many MODs to be honest with you. I remember playing the Battletoads one, and I thought it was very impressive, there were a couple of Final Fight ones, one was apocalypse an the other one was one using the SNES graphics that added a couple of characters from Street Fighter (can't remember the name). I'm a big fan of original artwork, I remember playing a demo of a MOD called Rael: The Redemption, and also Streets of Rage: Silent Storm are the ones that really stand out for me. But like I said, I haven't played that many MODs,     there also a remake/enhanced version of the arcade version of Golden Axe, that I thought was really good, but those are the only ones that I can remember right now.

Heres my top 3 fave completed games.

Fighting spirit- was alot of fun, the pacing felt different, there was something about that game that really worked. the art work all matched, combat was fun, levels were well paced. and there was a 1 vs 1 fighting mode for added variety

MK Outworld Assasins- as a MK fan it was great to see a side scrolling beat em up and is alot better than sub zero mythologies. combat was gory and there was alot of fun doing the special moves. Would love to see this game updated or revisited sometime by either Maggas or someone else.

Nightslashers X- Even though this game is old i dont think it has been rivaled. Everything works well, combat is fun, theres lots of great art and animations for enemies deaths and plays 100 times better than the arcade. At the end of the day all these games want to capture the style of the games they are paying homage to but somehow Nightslashers X surpases the original.

also honorable mentions to Rocket Viper 2 and Marvel First Alliance which are great games also.


In terms of non completed games

Marvel war of the gems- combat was great, extensive characters to choose and with each demo it got better and better.

Simpsons and Evil Dead 2- both horrible games i must admit but they were doing something different. There are way too many Streets of rage games but there are more games/sprites to try (no ones done a batman game yet suprisingly) so for that i think these games deserve a mention for originality alone.

Right now I gotta say Bare Knuckle Z, Bare Knuckle 6, and Double Dragon Gaiden.

On another note, there are a lot of new games out there right now that suck. Thats why its nice to see a sight like Lavalit put out so many kick-*** games.

These major gaming companies need to take an example, and stop puttin that wack **** out.

Actually, I do, but I fixed it in one of the modes from a long time ago. The original one was the unfixed version. So if you want the fixed version, maybe I can send you a PM or I post a link here. I have both unfixed and fixed ones though.
