The demo mode/start/inbetween/end presentation is very professional. I really missed using weapons- Rick needs some tools of pain!

I see that good amount of job were put into those mods , but it would be even better if some bboxes and attack boxes would be more accurate. Its fun to play ,good cutscenes.I think it would get more attention if gameplay would be more soild.Jump attacks and running attacks are pretty basic. No use of pause feature.
Also  using items for changing into other rick would be better than having all 4 of them from beginning.

yes I know I thought of the possibility of using weapons, but because of  ram memory discard it, to solve it, in part, I decided to use the weapons in the special moves.
I preferred to opt for the 4 Ricks rather than make them mutate, so I like it more, is a matter of personal taste, plus this way you got more characters to choose from, has very few heroes splatterhouse... only one!!

Nice job man, i like it. Probably it's a little too long to keep high the interest till the end, but it's without doubt a good product  :)

cuchara, oh my!, really GREAT!. you not only make one bor game, you make 3!!!, triple point man  ;)

i really love this game and since some years ago i want to play new splatter games because i already finished the 3 parts in genesis/megadrive (2&3) mame (1) and included nes with the "wanpaku Graffiti" splatter house super deformed nes game...

so i really love that finally i can play another (well to be clear 3 new games!! :) ) in the openbor engine.

by the way, splatter house fans, there exist another splatter house game, is 3d and are in development... and perhaps is a free fangame.

you can see one video in here:
http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=5-CTZQyI9eY&fmt=18

if you want more info about it, read that topic:

http://bombergames.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1725&highlight=splatter

by the way, i almost forget it... sorry man, but i have to say you that the game have one little fail in all the games.
if you do the down+up + attack move with the 4 character (if i remenber fine is him, if not is the 3), the game always crashes and exit openbor, because these char dont have these move i think.

i have the first rapidshare pack of 3 you upload and i use the most new openbor from lavalit to play.

please, can you fix that little bug?.

well, congratulations again for all the good work! ;)

sorry but I think I don?t understand, I have not that problem at all !!! maybe if you download it again ? I strongly recomend play with OpenBOR_SVN_1705 version because almost the latests openbor versions if execute the "back, forward + attack" and "back, forward + special" just nothing happens !!

I just try the commands "down, up + A"  in the 3 games and working correctly here

OK thanks to God! I can play this mod.. Due to pak size, I started with 2nd episode: Journey Through Hell. That's OK since I need to focus my review. I'll DL the rest later.

Now, generally this mod is fresh but raw. Simply because there are lots of missing features which should have been implemented here. If this were BoR mod, it's OK but it is OpenBoR mod. Most are tolerable but the rest are intolerable.
I could say this mod is just another BoR clones with more moves.
Oh yes, related to difficuty, it's easy if you know weak spot of enemy's AI.

 Good Points:
1. Nice work on backgrounds. Although it's not good as Capcom games or other games, it's suitable for Splatter House sprite style.
2. Visually various enemies. Good, I'm surprised to see 2nd stage boss.
3. Various enemy formations. Great! Most mods I've played hardly care about them, they only repeat same formation over n over. Combined with various enemies, the effect is great!
4. Nice edits for Rick(s). I haven't played all Splatter House series but I don't think Rick's sprites are as complete as used here. IOW they must have been edited.
5. There are traps in this mod. Too bad not all levels have them.

 Bad Points:
1. Well, visually enemies are varying but technically they are the same. Close range attacker. Subbosses and bosses have more abilities but generally they are same. Deadly attack, chaser, upper, riseattack, and that's it. No much difference between them aside from look. Only last bosses have 'cantgrab', even so no significant difference.
Because of that, various enemies and formations don't give much difference experience.
2. Some obstacles are placed outside of screen. That's normal but if they block enemy from moving inscreen, that's bad.
3. Some bosses have forced animation, so to speak. Throwing Bellyache like throwing ball may be tolerable but walking tree and falling half-buried giant head are too much. They really need special settings.
BTW walking tree is hilarious :D.
4. Rick's combo freespecials are cool, to see. However, once they are used, they aren't cool anymore. Example: Mutant Rick special combo, he knocks enemies down before he finish the move so against bosses or subbosses, he's hit by the latter's riseattack. Not cool.
Moreover, combos only pass through enemies instead of pushing them. This make long combo misses at last chain.
5. The worst part of enemy AI is no set 'range'. ALL enemies from my observation attack from default distance even bosses too. Worse even, bosses don't have medium or long range attacks although their close range ones can hit long range. Fly is the only enemy who can attack from medium distance. This one is intolerable.

I did open the pak and didn't find 'range' at all related to #5.

Related to #1 and #3, you need to learn more about setting difficulty and basic properties.

My only complaint, and my lil brother, is that the specials knockdown your enemies to soon. What you should have did was to make them Fast attacks with the right knockdowns. for example: Skull rick should have done as a normal attack, then knock them out with the knife instead of the kick alone.
and you should've has a color select ;)
other than that this is a good Mod. if you learn all the stuff OpenBOR can do, you can make and even better Mod, and that's before Script.
At one point when I get more Space in my CPU, I'm Making Your MOD 4 players cause there's always more than 2 peeps in my room.
Peace out
