Agreed the Angela grab totally sucks.  I'm finding myself near dying, cause of being grabbed.  Also as noted the collision detection is a problem in the original.  I'd be a few lines above a enemy and be able to get hit by them, but not be able to counter hit them.  Some of the enemies seem to spam a special once your knocked down, and effectively means you cant counter attack unless you special counter.  In my opinion this mod is somewhat unbalanced.

yeah the game is crazy, the fixes should be easy though. Tone down overall aggression levels, you can tell they're way too high. Angela's grab can be fixed by changing 2 numbers or so in her txt file... these two things may be something I could do and upload myself, if such a minor edit is allowed here (1st time poster)

^^^What I'd like to see done with the Angelas is to give them a bit more attack variety.  As it stands they catch me in a grab no matter what I do, and it's seemingly all they do.  If they could be like say Y Signal from Streets of Rage with a broader attack variety then it would be perfect.  If she's meant to grab more than give her at least two different grab attacks like the main characters.  A grab and pummel, and a grab and throw.  Punches here and there between grab attempts wouldnt hurt either.

Welcome to lavalit then Renzen!!!  :cheers!:

For what i remember, you are allowed to do such minor changes but you should not change the name's author. If you make more changes, such as add new enemies, playable character or stages, you either can but crediting the original author, credit yourself also and specify what are the changes you made.

I hope Damon or Blood can confirm my memory here... have fun!

Listening to the tracks from this mod makes me dance or do the "pop" moves. I dance to almost all of 'em. If I listen to it once, I would think of making a choreography in dancing. But playing this mod, I don't because I focus on finishing a level.

Also, be sure not to add your own characters or alter the name of the mod. Certain old school members get very whiney about that and start forum controversey over petty things.

I did send him a message but received no replay as of yet.

Till then I won't post anything till I get the a-ok from him.

No offence was meant, there where just so many errors I figured that improving on it would make it better besides, I think that the whole idea of OPEN SOURCE means community driven updates.

I had no intention of taking credit for creating LoR, that's why I added only the scripts into the thread that contains the original posting of the original developer of the Pak file.

I think that a license of sorts should be added to the down loadable paks stating that its licensed and should never be allowed to be edited. You know, the total opposite of OPEN SOURCE.

Matman if you're still around of course you have my permission to upload.  I'm sorry I never got the message about it, it may have gotten lost through all the spam.  I haven't been on this scene in a long time and that was my first mod.  I figured it was as good as I was going to be able to get it on my own lol.  I'd love to see how your change to the mod is if you are still around on here.

Actually this was one of my first fix's that I did about 2 years ago and had some idea's and wanted to work on this mod (and coincidently gave birth to openBorStats) but then I decided not to pursue this project, so there was actually very little done to this mod other than some bbox's fix's.

When I tried hammertime's release a few weeks ago and saw how horrible the bbox's where I decided to contact him and send him the changes that I did back then and let him release it, its not the release that I would of prefered but at least the game is playable now.

Hmm old thread but anyway I'm curious if I'm the only one who has this issue.

I always get a CTD right before the stage 3 is about to begin I tried a couple of different BOR versions the crash always occur and only with the updated version from MatMan.

The default version loads up fine all okay there. So am I doing something wrong? just wondering. Of course I would prefer to play the updated version since it has some nice fixes but like said it always crashes at stage 3.

Oh and superb mod thanks to BigM and MatMan for the update.
