Welcome to Lavalit's Mugen section. Our goal is to promote an active and friendly Mugen discussion that will flourish just as our OpenBOR community has. In time we also hope to see some "cross pollination" in projects between the two.

However, whether deserved or not Mugen has a reputation for combative and destructive behavior of many members within its community. For that reason, this is a simple reminder to any incoming (or longstanding members).

This is not Youtube. It is not some random gathering of anonymous net users where anything goes. The forum policies of Lavalit are NOT lip service. They are strictly enforced, and they are enforced efficiently.

Note in particular the anti warez policy. As the Mugen engine itself is technically illegal software, the Mugen engine is not permissible for upload or linking in Lavalit. To clarify:

• You may not post or link to any Mugen executable or any other form of software, zip pack, full game, etc. that contains the Mugen executable.
  
  
• You may not post or link to any Mugen clone or derivative without permission from its controlling body.
  
  
• You may link to sites containing executable files, so long as you do not link to the executable files themselves.
  
  
• You may upload images, sounds, characters, games (without executable included) and so on. You are expected however to do so with respect. The overall mentality of the Mugen community does not concern us, and we are not in the business of mediating warehousing disputes. If however we discover blatantly arbitrary behavior (such as uploading/linking materials just to spite a creator), the offender with be dealt with accordingly.
  
  
• Lavalit reserves the right to make judgment calls on any rule. Links to a bit torrent site for instance, are not direct rule violations but are still violations in spirit; they will almost certainly result in removal and action against the poster.
