MY COMPLETE ARCADE
« on: September 22, 2011, 07:00:06 pm »
Here is my custom made arcade machine

Front end is 'HyperSpin' very user friendly

It has all the best OpenBor games,
Also has some MUGEN games such as SF vs MK, AVP, PocketDC heroes, MK Chaotic and my own MUGEN creations.
plus PC games such as: Duke Nukem manhatten project (classic game thats perfect for PC), Crazy taxi, SF4 (modded with custom costumes and blood), RE3 etc
Has MAME with all the best games (well those that i can get working)
Has a Super Nintendo emulator
Has a GameBoy Advance Emulator

Then also has an actual PS2 and a WII inside it :)

This machine has taken sooo long to perfect but now is everything in one.

My next dream projects would be to make a racing arcade machine and also to make a PS3 into an arcade machine so i can play MK, SF and Tekken etc on it (want to build a shell from scratch, keep it simple with a huge TV and a small case to hold the arcade sticks and PS3 etc)

Does anyone have any more game suggestions to be included ? any good PC games thatll suit an arcade set up ? i also heard you can play OpenBor on PS3 ? does your PS3 need to be hacked with Linux or something ?

I'll never understand how yall are doing this, but it's cool. Maybe when I finally get my own place and a machine, I would attempt this myself.

yeah as it has a PS2 and a WII inside along with a PC. The PS2 controllers are plugged in from coin op door and i just rest the controllers on the arcade when not in use.

I want to make a PS3 arcade but have it just use arcade sticks use it for my fighting games etc and keep my FPS games etc on the big tv in lounge room.

You should do it, theres heaps of tutorials online plus im not tech savy and i managed it, i can help you if needed. BTW you dont really need a proper arcade shell, ive seen some good ones made from scratch like the one below (this ones not one of mine but hope it gets the creative juices flowing)

F**king awesome!!!! So your arcade build has everything like Openbor, Mugen, PS2, SNES, NES, PS1, etc., in there? Wish I had an arcade build like that. I used to dream about having my own arcade probably since I was little. It's interesting to see the type of arcade that is. ;D

I've also wished Openbor being portable to PS3 'cause I made a topic about that. I think there hasn't been announcements regarding the update(s) of it. Looking forward to playing Openbor for PS3.

That first game looks like some lame mod
I remember i wanted my own arcade machine when i was 15 years old, but i never build it, i played on one of these MAME machines about year ago but now im more used to keyboard, i always had problems with arcade controllers, some of them were more responsive than other ones, also some buttons were jammed a bit.
Looks good.

Thought id give an update on my arcades.

Here is a PS3 arcade i made. Is a tv with a PS3 and 2 PS3 arcade controllers. It is great for fighting games. I also have 2 bartop chairs so players can sit down and play instead of stand. Looks very simple but was a real pain to build.

and here is 2 small bartop arcades i made out of small and cheap laptops, plays Openbor games , emulator games and MAME games plus is a jukebox. Smaller one was given to my lil sis and the other one im trying to sell.
