US feds shut down Megaupload

Fantastic. Ironic that this happened a day after the big SOPA protest. It could potentially piss off more people against SOPA.

Why arrest the webmaster of a site for the content users uploaded? That's like arresting the owner of a Walmart where drug dealers sell crack in the parking lot.

First of all: 7:54? It's only 8:10 where I am now, so that just happen not 20 minutes ago? And yeah, it's crazy how this went down the day after the big protest. Since this did happen, did the bill actually go through or something or are people just making d*ck moves out of nowhere? Also, is Mediafire next? That's my main source of uploading.

  :(

 That's just sad!
Regardless of what problems I had with Megaupload, I'm sad to hear it has to be closed for this silly reason.

 Right!!!
Why don't the feds just cut off Internet to solve everything?

SOPA didn't pass, the vote isn't until the 24th. Honestly, I think this was definitely a d*ck move. If it happened maybe a week or month later I wouldn't have said anything, but a day? Yeah, it's almost like the department of justice was like, "well let's see how those 'Occupy' ***holes like THIS!"

Also, I REALLY hope Mediafire isn't next. I'm still pissed about all the old mods I had uploaded at Megaupload. If Mediafire goes, all of my released (and unreleased) mods went out the window.  :envious:

Because they need the internet to control the people and to known at any time who are you, where are you , what you do and many more.
