I've learned how to cut legit sprites now, but 1 problem i always face is this:

Can anyone explain to me why sometimes the animation appears there in the game?

Don't bump so fast.
Some topics don't have reply for several days.

You problem seems to be some misaligned sprite.
You have to give it an offset

Also... Battle Raper2, sexy raper, warriors of Elysia...

Before I start, OpenBoR supports .ogg and .bor.
Wav2bor is the only way to convert wav to .bor.

As for .ogg, I don't know.

wow, I've never heard of the format .ogg. According to the music guide, I'm suppose to create a textfile & rename it into xxx.bat & insert the context in follow by executing..what does it meant by executing here?

Actually, if you know how to use DOS, you don't need to bother with making text file.
But since most newbies don't know how to, so it's suggested to use .bat instead.

Executing means run the file. Yes, just double click the bat file you just created.

That is probably because by default, Windows does not display file extensions (i.e. it hides part of the filename from you). You have to change that first, and then you will be able to change the file extension from .txt to .bat.

Tools -> Folder options -> View -> disable "hide extensions for known file types"

I strongly recommend that you remember that option. Besides the fact that you need to change file extensions sometimes, Windows' default setting is also a security hazard. By hiding file extensions, Windows makes it ridiculously easy for viruses to disguise themselves as harmless file types. This is a fairly common way for simple viruses (mostly of the trojan horse variety) to hide and spread.

Speaking of which, is it possible to change the design of the lifebar as well as the portrait beside it?

to create a batch file when you save your text file you'll need to rename it like this or it won't work
-"music.bat"
if you don't use " it will remain as a txt file.

Yes. The portrait you see next to lifebar is called icon, each entity can have icon or not. The command to set icon is simply:

icon {path}

You can read manual and wiki for more info about this.

As for lifebar, the easiest way is to modify icon's image so it has lifebar included. There are other ways such as using time icon, bg icon and script based HUD.

For beginners, play with icon image 1st :)
