Make character palette
+ apply the new palette:

Hey guys,so let´s start.
If your mod is ColourDepth 16bit,then every entity can have his own color palette.
On this video i´m show you how you can make your character palette with Photoshop + how to apply your new palette to your sprites with the PalApply tool.This way you can make the palette for every other entity of your game.

Make Alternate palette image:

Hey guys,so for those who don´t known how to edit an sprite in order to make an Alternate palette image,i have captured this video for you.This is for ColourDepth 16bit mods and i´m using the Adobe Photoshop program to edit my image.

EDIT:As Bloodbane pointed out bellow,on this example i´m copying colors from other image to make alternate palette but..there is a lot other ways to do that.I´m using this way in my video since i think is an good way to have an visual example of how your Alternate palette will be.

For new modders any of the fundamentals that people usually struggle with like working with/creating palettes, basic char creation.
Maybe some kind of 'Getting Started' guide.

EDIT: anything else u can think of like the fonts guide that we're lacking proper documentation for.

The cheating way i make new characters is i open up a similar coloured character in paint, then i copy and paste the sprite im making into/over that file and use the same transparent colour

@nsw25: That cheat was great during old modding times in 8bit era but even so it's not recommended since making custom global palette (for 8bit) was doable that time too.
 Now with 16bit and 32bit it's best to avoid such cheat ways and make personal palette per entity. Oh yes, that way has big risk of color loss BTW.

 Back to topic, great video maggas! you should mention in video or here at least that the video is specifically about copying color from other image to make alternate palette.

 For myself, I usually check which color is used where before changing anything. I map which colors are used for clothes, skin etc.

 Another way to make alternate palette is simply change the colors manually. Pick any color we like. Even changing brightness, contrast, hue and saturation work for alternate palette.

nsw25 and Bloodbane,you gave me the idea to show how i´m making personal palette per entity + how to apply the palette with PalApply tool.Maybe there are more ways to do that but i´m just shown how i do.So,updated the first post with a new video.
