That perhaps because the IP is on the black list but not the site itself.

When you  use a proxy server and dial-up modem you sometimes will notice the same problem, your IP is banned by the proxy server,  probably it is used by someone else before.

There's also a mod based on some sprites from this game called 'Golden Axe the Curse of Death Adder', it seems the mod is not in the download section now, or I didn't find it.

is this one?I got the mod 3 weeks ago.better use dl software for download because the transmission speed is a little bit slow...

I have it on my PC though. I'm editing it since it crahes on new engine because there're some command errors.

I had some serious problems with my uploading speed but it's finally uploaded now  :nervous:

You'll need an ISO tool like PowerISO, ISOBuster or CDMage to open the CDI. (or just burn it to a CDR with Alcohol120% or BootDreams).


I had to use every trick in the book to get it to work ...and then some more... ^ ^

But hey, considering I had only 12MB to work with, I am actually kind proud of it. - Let me know what you think.

I am off to catch a few hours sleep. I'll post more info later.



Edit: For playing on PC (or other platforms), you will need to move MENU.BOR and REMIX.BOR to /DATA/MUSIC/ since I decided to change the file structure to optimize CD layout.

Edit: Here are some screenshots showing the HUD which I took from the old demo version. The big advantage is that it offers more space on a 320x240 screen.

I just fixed a problem with the inconsistency in music volume for arcade and remix mode (=PS2/Sega Ages) compared to the other modes and started to upload this new version to DCEvolution.

The problem was that the volume for other music modes was way lower than in Remix mode and Arcade mode. I had to redo all these tracks with lower volume to match the volume of the other music and especially sound effects. (There is a limit on how much you can raise the volume on certain tracks - even when using professional compressor technique.)

In this new version all tracks are on a similar volume level.

- I propose to add an option to define music volume to levels.txt (and/or a level's txt) to avoid problem like this in the future. Maybe call it "bgmvol" or something like that.



Also it would be good to have a  command to specify "menu.bor"/"gameover.bor"/"complete.bor" music. In this version of Golden Axe Remake, I added Mega Drive, Arcade, PCE, etc. modes but they all use the same "menu.bor" from PS2 version.

- If we had an option to specify "menu.bor"/"gameover.bor"/"complete.bor" music for each 'set' in levels.txt it would allow custom music for each game mode.

Hmm, bad news, i jsut found a bug when I remove chargeattack animation. lol
So when you use Ax Battler and do a riseattack then press attack button at the end of the animation the game will shutdown.

I am having serious trouble to get the file uploaded. It always comes out 2kbytes short and reports a damaged header in WinRAR if one downloads and unRARs it.... This problem doesn't only happen when I upload to DCEvolution, but also to LavaLit and Dreamcast-Scene so it's a problem at my end.

I am currently looking into a solution... I downgraded to an older version of Firefox and FireFTP. Next up is a Virus scan and testing other FTP software.

Downgrading didn't change a thing. I also did a Virus scan - nothing.

However, I re-uploaded it using Windows Explorer and it seems it worked this time !
