Graphic Resources for BoR/OpenBoR
« on: May 13, 2008, 09:52:06 am »
Guys,

In our website we have a section about free game resources. I have made available for users some props and background panels I created for Rael that I'm not going to use anymore. I'm planning on adding more in the future.

Here's the direct link to the game resources page:

Enjoy  ;)

You have a nice lil set of graphics on your page there rmedtx.  Speaking of Rael, are you going to release another demo or possibly complete version of the mod?

Thanks lbf,

To answer your question. Yes, I'm working on a new demo. This time SX is going to help me put it together using OpenBoR. I'm re-doing the intro. That's what's taking the longest. I have been busy remodeling my house and busy with other things but I will soon be done with the new intro. Once I'm done with that we will be able to put the together the demo. The demo will have 2 levels again; this time I will include the "Blood Swamp" instead of the "Cave" level.

One of the reasons it has taken so long was because I had stopped for a long time to work on other game projects (Callisto for PSP, Nanotron for PC, Custom game for a French company and Puzzle Carnival for PC) besides that early last year they stole my new computer and I had a lot of files I had no backups of. For example all the sprites for Nebirus the first boss were in that computer.

Ah, its good to hear that you are back on track now.  Its interesting that you mentioned you worked on callisto for psp, it looks like a cool game.  I would like to use some of the sprites on your page namely this one:

Hi again lbf,

Feel free to use any of the sprites in our website. You can use them as they are or edit them.

Working in the Callisto Project was a pretty good experience. I don't consider this a dead project but more like a dormant one.

Callisto? Funny, I've never heard of it. Is it unreleased?

Yes it never got released because Sony was very strict about the developers past experience and at the time we didn't have enough commercial games in our portfolio.

Here are a couple of images from Callisto:
