Need some help finding where pak files Extract to

Hi, New here and have always wanted to make my own beat em up ( being as they are some of my favorite kind of games). I wanted to try some of the more popular mods that are in this community, but have had a hard time figuring out how to extract these pak files. I looked all through the forum and found this

I followed these steps, however after I click and drag the file for example ( Final fight Apocalypse 2nd edition.pak) onto the Borpak it would show all the files being extracted, however I have not been able to find where they have gone. I tried both the Neo geo editor and the other one as instructed in this thread. In the neo geo one I renamed data to something else, but every time there is never a new folder that is made with the extracted files. Am I looking in the wrong place or am I doing something wrong? I have tried clicking and dragging said pak files quite a few times and each time it shows the files what looks to be extracting, but when it finishes it closes and I can't find where they have gone.

Why do people keep calling it the Neo Geo Editor?  It's called the Neo Edit Pack.

To answer your question, though, is your PAK file in the same directory as borpak/paxplode?  If not, have you checked both in the directory containing the PAK file and in the directory containing borpak/paxplode?
