O already bricked my phone once
I guess theres only symbian port, ive seen it somewhere on other forum, i dont like the way you control the games on touchpanel cause theres no bumps to tell you where buttons are , so you miss buttons quite often, at least in my case.
My psp is half dead now, controls are jammed and downleft is always pressed, i have to sell it for parts.
I just miss ability to play mods when im far from home without computer.
I really really like ability to connect the phone to my tv, i can play emus and watch movies like that on big screen. ;D It was very problematic on psp.

I totally agree.
It's not practicle to play some games such as SF4 on IP4 and IPAD at all, even the graphic is good.
And touching games seem to be mainly designed for those light users.
For me, it's quite limited to play games on touch devices.
So I only choose phones with hard keyboard.

I just received bluetooth keyboard and now i can play the games normally, i was wondering if some kind of app exist which lets you map screen areas to keyboard so game would think that youre touching the screen but you would be playing on keyboard or gamepad mapped to screen areas.

Guess I'll bump this since people have asked me about OpenBOR and Android on more than one occasion since I have a game released.

Here are a Mugen (and I think Openbor) player for android (and other systems btw) http://paintown.org/index.php?page=download (Paintown-release.apk)
running it on Bluestack emulator, at time to play an alternative  Pak, stops at character selection.  Dunno if īcos bluestack or a fault on paks. Also, if anyone can modify it to run on Hvga (480x320) that would be great. Check on Sdcard "paks" folder then touch "alternative pak" in menu.

Though the programmer used OpenBoR to build from, PainTown is not OpenBoR.

There'd be few if any that would actually be compatible with an OpenBor variant.

This was on the site
Question: Is the source code to Paintown based on another engine?
Answer: No, Paintown was inspired by various other projects but the code is 100% original.

Well, guess who got an Android smartphone this week? :-X

Who knows, maybe I'll get tired of not having OpenBOR on my phone and port it myself.  No promises though. :)

AMAZING!hopefully one day it will be possible

I already owned Android months ago and I look forward to playing Openbor on it. It would be cool if we play it on Android. There must be a way for having the button icons when you're on the touchscreen of the phone. I will be interested of playing it. Hope there are icons for mashing buttons.

Here's an example:

3. Art of Fighting: Beats of Rage Remix III
4. A Tale of Vengeance

paintown is very irritating to play on android, unplayable for me, many games are not so good on touchscreen because onscreen controllers are buggy and not respond sometimes when you press button too fast a couple of times. Some onscreen controllers in some games work ok but its small number of games and also many emulators have buggy controls.
You can use sixaxis to play on android but so far best portable experience is still on PSP.

Anyway, a port for android is also necessary , cos android is so popular today.
Even SF4 is available on android.
And don't forget those phone models with hard keyboard...
Besides, most latest android models are able to connect USB keyboards, even game pads....

I bought a 10 inch Android tablet for my mother, couple days ago, and have just played Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Streets of Rage 2 on it, and that was great on the screen size like that. OpenBor on android will be a great addition as well :) (but khmm khmm... back to work..)
