Which game should get an OpenBOR remake?

what about a nazi zombies game ? would you be able to make repairable barriers in Openbor ? could have some defence missions where you need to survive a certain amount of waves or times and also have some standard beat em up levels where you need to make it to end of level. Would be good opportunity to expand on the COD zombie mythology and add new fan fiction zombies and plot etc

IMO a shinobi remake would be terrible!!! My fav was Shinobi 3, along with Shinobi Legions and the PS2 version.

I'd kill for this :

Punisher is probably my favourite beat em up game ever made (second would be cadillacs and dinosaurs) would be great for a punisher sequel. Could use his MUGEN character for updated sprites.

If no one has made a Punisher game by mid next year i promise ill start one ...But heads up i envision it will be ultra violent lol

Im trying to fix up that Crisis Evil 2 game- was fun to play a resident evil game but the bboxes etc are all over the place, enemies float off the ground when walking and i dont like how the special attacks were set up so im tweaking it at the moment. Im also adding some moves, animations etc (that nemisis character is easily the ugliest sprite ive ever seen lol why didnt they just use the MUGEN version ?). Im doing these changes just for me but i can upload it somewhere if you guys want ?

Also the 'secret' character felt so inappropriate lol may change that

I would kinda like to see a remake of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie which was on the Sega Genesis (unless there is one already), which would be be an improvement over the original.


I am not sure if Megazord battle segments would be implemented or not since those segments are the only points in the game you can only play as megazords (there are 4 megazords, only 2 are used on each stage), everywhere else you use strictly the 6 rangers.

I would kill for an MMPR the movie remake on OpenBOR but id want the Green Ranger as a playable character , a while back someone made a 2D Power ranger game for the PC as a Demo but when megaupload closed down the link got shut down so i cant find the link anywhere else , and i asked the creator for a copy but never got a response , anyone have this demo or know of another MMPR Mod released anywhere?

I honestly think ninja baseball bat man should get a remake since it was popular in the day and never released on console absolutely love that game great designs great game play and good story line. Also violent storm was another awesome game which I love even so it was cheap still great fun  those 2 deserve a remake as a suggestion.   

Agreed love these too, but it was never 100 percent emulated , i would love to play a bor mode from these titles .Many times ago , I  played regularly Violent storm on the arcade machine of the shopping Center in my city .Very good to play with my school mates.

for me, would be sonic battle, it just good to make a part 2 of it as an openbor mod, and , the gameplay must like the pokemon rumble 2D by DJGFTI, yhe battle style is just like an LF, "one on one" to "many on many",;D

Yeah I been thinking for ages, if you just gathered all the cool ninja sprites you could find, you could make a pretty cool ninja game.

NOTES about remakes and dream mods

The simpsons arcade IS available for those who have XBOX AND is also Playable on Wii homebrew MAME

The Turtles ARCADE had a remake (sort of) and it WAS available for XBOX 360 as TMNT reshelled. It would be NICE to see that on OPENBOR although I do not think is possible to have those graphics and gameplay UNDER openbor engine TMNT arcade IS available for those with Wii Homebrew MAME

- I vote for XBOX360 port for TMNT ARCADE reshelled
- I also vote for Star Wars sidescrolling multiplayer similar to the current TMNT Openbor engine
- Since its not only beat'em'up LEGO sidescrolling NINJA GO, CITY undercover and Marvel Superhero Squad WOULD BE AWESOME
- Rayman sidescrolling multiplayer
- A disney game, as DuckTales NES remake Multiplayer, including main disney characters in a Super Mario multiplayer scheme

mfsilva the simpsons game emulated is not a remake. No one will make a game on Openbor merely to replicate the actual game the same way, they would only make a Openbor game if they feel theres a story, or gameplay element they can contribute. Example- im making a simpsons game and story is not like the original arcade game, theres brand new sprites, moves and features.

The TMNT games ive seen on Openbor are good beacuse they are doing the same thing i am trying to do-  pay homage to the games that come before and give the fans some more adventures to play (TMNT red sky battle is a good mod to check out)

Also you keep mentioning multiplayer- Openbor can not be played online you know that right ?
