3690+ New running options and other additions

{move}:
 0 - can't run up/down
 1 - can run up and down diagonally
 2 - can start running by inputing uu or dd
 4 - can turn 90 degrees while running (like in some capcom games)
 3 = 1 + 2
 7 = 1 + 2 + 4
 And so on
 

So if you want a running system similar to Captain Commando, change that parameter to 7. If you want to keep your dodge animation, then use 5.

Also I fixed spawn=crash bug in select screen. You should be able to change altitude there now.

 90 degrees?

 BTW are you going to update grab system too? at least a command to control how many grabattacks player can perform before going to grab finisher.

For example, left then up then right works, but left then upper-right doesn't.




My ideal solution would be adding a grab chain. But not in my recent todo list though.

There's a script solution by changing combostep, if you are interested.

changeentityproperty(ent, "combostep", {index}, {value});

Where {index} means the chain index.

0 - normal attacks (puch puch punch...)
1 grabattack
2 grabforward
3 grabup
4 grabdown
5 grabbackward

For grab attacks, {value} can be 0-2,  so if you keep changing it to 0, you get infinite grab attacks. No examples right now though.  If you want a 5 step combo, maybe you need to record the value somewhere else and finish the chain when certain conditions are met.

Wow. I really love this update so far. Some games like Ikkitousen on PSP have that kind of running command similar to Captain Commando (the game).

Yes.

Any idea about the names?
I'm thinking about a script solution so it will be easier to change the overall difficulty of the game.

A quick note.

I removed the 4096 size limit for images. Not a big deal, but I don't see a reason to keep it.
