My brother and I went through the pc version and were blown away as we are HUGE SPLATTERHOUSE fans. I am also a huge SEGA fan and was waiting for my beloved dreamcast to get a port. Thank everyone who made this possible. Let it be known that people appreciate your efforts. I am an artist and actually have some posted at the splatterhouse fansite west mansion page. I liked the covers to and will make some myself. Thanks everyone again!!

ohhh this is fukkin great!!!

I just played all three parts!!

Its great!! part 1 was a bit boring, too many enemies with lot of energy (as Splatterhouse III from Genesis) but I enjoyed it a lot!

on the chapter 1 I tried to grab the axe hahah, I really miss to behead enemies or throw them on the wall

the gameplay is fun!!! some bosses are hard if you don't do the "dash attack-retreat-dash attack" strategy

the only low points:
1. some music: yes, I'm talking as a personal taste, but I find some songs from Splatter II and III boring...
2. some backgrounds on ep II and III, but its a minor detail

this mod is fun as f*ck!!! and much better than Splatterhouse III from Genesis!!
Its cool to play with Rick 3rd!!!

honestly, I couldn't stop until finish the three episodes!!! just stopping to go to the bathroom hah, too much fun and great to see those old enemies (necromancer, Biggy man) so many memories!! The Inverted Cross was hard!!

very good trilogy!! thanks a lot for this!!!

and keep doing some more mods!!!!

this and return of DD are into my top 5 fave mods!!!

I'm having some problems activating all the special moves in this game, for instance I can't always get mutant Rick's 2hit spinning combo to work, and I've never been able to get Rick's spinning razor to work.  Any idea what the problem would be?

Hope I can help?

If you dl a obor unpacker program from this site, you can edit the moves to your liking(It's very, very easy), eg a1 is attack one, and a2 is attack 2, there are usually 4 attack buttons which most people don't use, so you could map them like:

special 3 = d f a2

etc

or even just a button for a special..... I don't think beat em ups should have complicated commands, maybe just a meter system so you don't abuse them.

Only other problems are that the hitboxes seem to favor the enemies more than the players, and it can be a pain to get up off the ground.

I agree

It seems that in a lot of obor mods, specials don't seem to enough priority, so it's a bugger getting the complcated command right and then an enemy just punches your right out of it, lol.

I hope this isn't a limitation of the engine? Maybe it can be cleared with a few extra lines of script? I'm not really sure.
Play Crime Busters latest version, Nightslashers X, 8man and Return of Double Dragon.

It's a matter of skill actually. You could try standing far enough from enemy before executing the command.

No it's not. It's modders preference to use long commands I believe. Usually for strong moves.

Not really. If you time it right, you can pummel them with combos ;) ;).

I wouldn't say that is a problem with any of your mods, but some others, SDOMT does suffer from it a little bit in my opinion but it doesn't ruin the game.

Technically is very poor for Xbox 360 or PS3, and it doesn?t feel like Splatterhouse at all.

Actually, I meant that your vertical range was really outdone by the enemies, and that even moves that seemed like they should have hit everywhere around you really only hit things in front of or behind you (Namely, the one button specials).  Also, it wasn't a matter of the moves getting interrupted by attacks, I simply could never manage to execute those problem specials, even in an empty spot.

Technically is very poor for Xbox 360 or PS3, and it doesn?t feel like Splatterhouse at all.
It looks up to par with plenty of other 360 games to me, but I guess I'm not exactly an expert.  But you're right about the feel, it looks more like a God of War clone than Splatterhouse.
