 The demo is great!

Although, the treasure hunt is the hardest quest in the demo, I found it that mine quest is hardest (mostly because of the boss).

I noticed that endlevel entity appears too early i.e before all enemies are killed. Is this deliberate?
If that's not how it supposed to be, you need to regroup the spawns.
I suggest that you use delay entity (read my tutorial in my signature below about it) to delay some enemies which are spawned after message.

Actually, the map system you are using now is pseudo system, I've seen the flaw. You should use script to make real map system. It's kinda complicated but it gives better result and you would spare yourself from making too many maps ;).

Awesome demo! I was having fun for the first time since playing The Punisher in the arcades and you brought back that feeling man. Can't wait to see the final version.

P.S. will the Knights of The Round chars have new attacks and actually having their full armors?

Pierwolf, congratulations on this mod!  It's fantastic!  Love the open world idea, the map looks great and the difficulty choices is a nice idea.  Music is cool, love the vibe.

Thanks Count! actually the music is made by Two Steps from Hell, a duo of composers i love! here is the wiki link if you want more informations:

You should allow the player to own their own house/castle (like the tavern, only you can resupply there?)

nice idea, i will think about it...  ;)

Ok I have tried it out on openbor build 3669.7 and close it self when I move to any of the marked point on world map endless quest. I will wait for a fix or you just upload the openbor engine your using thanks.

strange bug... i've tested on the latest openbor builds and it works perfectly for me...

Thanks Bloodbane! actually when you face the final boss of the mine there are some caskets that contain potions you can use to refill your energy with, this and the boss come alone without any other small monsters to support it, so i think it's a fair fight anyway... pheraps i will try to adjust the difficulty next time!

actually it's deliberate, in order to give the chars an escape route if the things become too dangerous, but in this way you lose some xp, that are useful in order to gain lives to face the more difficult quests.

you know, i'm no good at scripts  :dunce: this is the best thing that comes in my mind in order to make a map!  :dunce:

thanks Hanzo! you know that's exactly the kind of feeling i was searching too, i'm happy to have make a point in recreating it! :)
actually the KOTR chars will have new attacks, but the sprites remains the same...

thanks to you all, guys!

This is almost to the letter what I wanted to do with my "Quests of Quein: Killing Time" project from way back when I first joined the community. Hate that I was beaten to it, but great to see someone stepped up and made an open world style game. Keep at it!

Same here... :( Tried with build 3644, same prob. With earlier builds, the engine crashes even sooner : before loading the map.

I've downloaded this mod and made a quick test. Its pretty cool.
The idea of adding a new playable char was very good, and fits perfectly to the game.

I was using 3669 release and no bug was found.

congrats

i was thinking... maybe fredo46 and HideRaisen are using some other platform? the game is tested only on PC, so i don't know if it works for PSP, dreamcast and the other platforms aviable.

Just tried it, has much more of a D&D feel to it by using the map system. Well done. Waiting on the edge of my seat for the full game  ;D
